Crop Event

It has been a fun weekend. Stamping and sharing my love for stamping and creating with lots of fun ladies. Many scrap bookers!!!  They are getting sooooo many pages completed. There are a number of newbies getting addicted to stamping. And of course good meals!  It is so nice to be catered to.

Gina was using the Big Shot with the magnetic board with such ease!  She got all of her Christmas cards completed and many other cards.

Gina and Nadene made their 3 free cards. Others made their cards too. Then many others made their 2page scrapbook layout they got free.

The next Janice's Creating Crop will be March 21st and 22nd.
Registration will begin January.
I know everyone that attended this first one will be attending the next one. So spots will fill up fast.
So be sure to turn your registration in right away.
Have a great day!  Janice

Christmas is a coming

I know it is hard to believe but Christmas is less than 100 days away.  Yikes.......  But take time this season to enjoy getting ready.  Start early (as in today) and schedule time to come and stamp your Christmas cards.  Maybe this year for Thanksgiving you have a book for everyone to write something they are thankful for.  What a great holiday memory.  Need time to do that?  Sign up for my get away.  Janice's Creating Crop on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 1st and 2nd.  We will be at the Marriott in Racine.  Contact me for more information.  It is filling up so make sure you contact me soon.  Deadline is Oct. 1st.

Here is the card for today.  I know many of you love cardinals.  This is a hostess set in the back of the Holiday catalog.  I have made a number of cards so far with this set.  It is one of my go to stamp sets.  It can be yours too by you placing a $150 order or have a party.  You don't want to have a party do a catalog party and get friends and family members to order so you can get the total to $150.  Janice

Give Thanks

I love the colors of Autumn.  The DSP is from the holiday catalog called Sweater Weather on page 18.  It is very beautiful Fall colors.  I loved adding the buttons to this card.  I also used the stamp set called Gorgeous Grunge found in the main catalog.  Give thanks this year for all the many friends we have made through stamping and sharing.  Pass on the love of life.  Janice

Fun Folder Card

Yesterday I spent the day stamping at a friend's house.  I had a blast trying my new envelope punch from Stampin' Up.  I made a file folder.  Yes a file folder.  I made it into a card.  I thought this will be a great design for those that are secretaries, work in offices, have kids that we are always filing their pictures, etc.  So let me know what you think.

I used DSP from the holiday catalog.  The leaf is in the best of 25 years stamp set starting this month.  The pumpkin is also from that set and so is the Give Thanks.  So now leave me a message and let me know what you think of this stinking cute card......... Janice

Simply Created Kit for Thanksgiving

I saw someone that was using the Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit in her cards.  I loved how she used the cute black frame and leaves.  So I changed a few things and added my own twist to it.
The stamp set is Truly Grateful page 19 of Holiday catalog.
  • wood 131730 $27.95
  • clear 131733 $19.95

I bought this stamp set and Harvest of Thanks stamp set to use on a Fall Painters Tray.  I will share that when I get it done.  Well really I have not started it.......  But I have been thinking about it.  Does that count?
Are you interested in a class using a painters tray and being able to change it for the seasons?  Janice

Harvet of Thanks

Here is another card using Harvest of Thanks stamp set.  I love that there are framelits to cut each of these out so quickly and perfectly!  Again I used the wood bark background.  I love this stuff.  I will need to use some with a cardinal for Christmas.  Just thinking........  Let me know if you try it.  I would love to see what you are creating.  Janice

Turkey

Thanksgiving is coming and I'm getting ready.  This is just one of the cards I have made with the stamp set called Harvest of Thanks.
  • Holiday catalog page 19
  • Wood 131736 $20.95
  • Clear 131739 $15.95
This stamp set coordinates with Apothecary Accents, Deco Labels Collection, and Bitty Banners Framelits Dies.

Notice I used markers on the turkey stamp.  Then on the inside I used sponge daubers to ink up the many thanks stamp.

If you are wondering where the background paper is from..........  Well it is from the Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit.  I have made a number of things using some of the things I got with that kit.
  • 133463 $19.95
  • page 18 in the Holiday catalog
So now what do you think of the Simply Kits?  Write me a comment and let me know if you are buying them or if you are now thinking about buying one?  Janice

Perfect Blend at Christmas

I know many of you are hooked on this Perfect Blend stamp set.  Well remember this holiday season when you are buying your friends and coworkers a gift card from their favorite coffee place, put it in a card that matches and says you truly care about them.  Putting thought into a card is what makes the card more special to that person.  Janice

Christmas is Coming

I know it feels early to think about Christmas.  But if you don't start your cards soon you will run out of time.  Here is a quick and easy card we will be doing at my 4 Card Class this month.

I love this clean and simple look.  The main card is made with Bermuda Bay.  The Designer Series Paper Pack is Winter Frost found in the Holiday Catalog on page 29.  132183 $8.95 for 48 sheets 24 each of 2 double sided designs 4 1/2" x 6 1/2".  This is a great deal.
I cut the whisper white card stock using the Chalk Talk frame lits on page 187 of the main catalog 129983 $24.95.  This frame lit has an opening that you can wrap the card stock around a cello bag filled with goodies.  But in this case I just liked the size and shape of it.  Love the corners!  I layered it with Smokey Slate.  I have found this color to work well with lots of colors.  The Frosted Finishes Embellishment is just the right added touch to many things.  In this card I added it with a piece of the silver 1/8" ribbon.
  • Frosted Finishes Embellishments on page 28 of Holiday catalog 132150 $6.95 for 12
  • Silver 1/8" Ribbon also on page 28 of Holiday catalog 132137 $4.95
The stamp set is on page 27 of the Holiday catalog.
  • wood 131826 $13.95
  • clear 131829 $10.95
  • Merry Little Christmas Simply Created Card Kit page 27 of Holiday catalog - this is a great deal - great way to get 8 cards made quick and easy!
  • Wood 133286 $19.95
  • Clear 133287 $17.95
Let me know what you think.  Does this look easy?  Have you used any of these items?  Leave me a comment so I know you are reading and wanting information.  Thanks Janice

New stamper

Welcome Vera to stamping.  It is truly a fun hobby.  Vera had never stamped before.  She did awesome.  As she was stamping she was telling us who she would be sending the cards to.  It is so fun to share what we love to do.  I am so glad Vera is joining our group of fun stampers.

The group was already asking what techniques we would be doing next month.  I'm keeping it a secret for the moment....  Well I have a few thoughts up my sleeve.  But I will be playing this weekend and see what I can come up with to announce for all you Technique Geeks.

I love the challenge of showing you new and exciting ways to make cards.  Janice

Paper Pumpkin

August Paper Pumpkin was one of my favorites.  I love the bike.  The upper right corner is the card that Stampin' Up suggested.  I had fun just changing things around and adding two bikes, etc.  At the bottom left you can see the bottom of my envelope.  I stamped the bike moving across the front.  Many of the insides of the cards I did the same thing.  This is definitely a stamp set I will be using again.

I am looking forward to those of you that have signed up for the Paper Pumpkin.  We will have fun coming up with other ways to use what SU sends us each month.  If you want in on the fun, go to createwithjanice.stampinup.net  Click on Paper Pumpkin.  You can cancel at anytime.  But you will love the package coming every month.  I look forward to you joining us at my house or on line to make each month's kit.  Janice

Technique Geeks Class

T
Smiles were on all faces. Well maybe not when they were concentrating so hard to make their card perfecto!!!  Yes they loved the cards and the techniques.  They got their own 1/4 sheet of card stock that had a picture of the technique and instructions.  Now if they would have read the instructions today that would have been another story.  But they do have them for future reference.

Dianne and Beth wanted to know if they would get a bigger ring because they are planning on coming to every technique geeks class.  They have 7 techniques on their ring now.

Are you wanting in on this fun?  Join us next month.  The class will be on Saturday, Oct. 12th at 8:30am.  The cost is $12.  Let me know if you want to come.  Janice

Technique #3

This technique is for all the present and retired school teachers.  Remember what a chalkboard looks like?  With all the chalk dust?  I remember staying after school to help my teacher by erasing the board for her.  I could never get it completely clean.  There was always chalk dust on it.  Well the third technique we will be doing is called Chalkboard.  Now if you have not RSVP yet, I hope you call me to see if I have any spots available.  Yikes, I want you to come.  So pick up your phone and call me.  Talk to you soon.  Janice

Another Hostess Card

I saw this card and had to CASE it.  It was made by Becky Roberts.  She does outstanding stuff.  I do love my flavored coffee.  I am a black coffee drinker these days.  Trying to keep the calories low.  One of my favorite coffees is Island Coconut.  I am sitting here drinking it.  The aroma is so soothing.  It takes me to the islands far far away.  OK back to stamping.  So what do you think of the Perfectly Blend Stamp Set?  Let me know your thoughts.  Are you using that stamp set?
Isn't this just a fun card?  I love the stir thing......  Love how the doily is slightly folded.  If you have not ordered this set go order it and then you can have your coffee.........  Enjoy!!!!!!Janice

Hostess Club

I have a hostess club that meets monthly.  They are a group of 6 stampers that love to learn, stamp, talk, laugh and make lots of cards!  They each buy $25 of SU product a month.  Each of them is the hostess for one of the 6 months.  That person then gets the hostess FREE items.  They are loving it.  If you and some of your friends or family members would like to be part of a hostess club on your own or with other people give me a call.

This is one of the cards that we will be doing this month.  They cannot wait to learn how to make it.  Don't you just love that bee?  He is so darn cute.  SU has a framelit so you don't have to cut him out by hand.  Just use your Big Shot.  I love my Big Shot.

This is the inside of the card.  That bee is in a hurry to get some where.......  I hope he does not stop and sting you on his way there.

Have a great day.  I really do appreciate any comments.  They can be short.  Just let me know if you are liking my blog.  Thank you.  Janice

Simply Sketched

This is another card made using that beautiful hostess set I talked about yesterday.  Simply Sketched!!  The Designer Series Paper is again from the same Gingham Garden.  I just love it.
Yes this card will be at my August Card Class.  So if you have not RSVP yet what are you waiting for?  I am personally inviting you to come and have a great time and be proud that you made some beautiful cards.
I gotta run today.  Janice

August 4 Card Class for $10

This is one of the beautiful cards we will be doing at my August Card Class.  The stamp set is a hostess set called Simply Sketched.  The entire set is so beautiful.  Check it out on page 205 in the main catalog.  You can get it by having a card party or a catalog party or just order $150 yourself.

The yummy ribbon is 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim in Strawberry Slush page 173 of the main catalog.  Many of my customers are buying this up.  It stretches so easily.  As you can see on this card it I wrapped it around the circle.

The Designer Series Paper I used is Gingham Garden on page 153 of the main catalog.  It has been one of my favorites this year.  I am on my second package of it and it is almost gone.

I think the tiny pearls add a lot to this card.  I hope you will sign up for the card class.  Time is running out. Janice

August Card Class

This card has been requested by many of you.  So I will be doing this at my August 4 Cards Class for $10.  This picture shows it much bluer than it really is.  Sorry I am not good at taking pictures.  The color is Coastal Cabana which is one of this year's in colors.  It is gorgeous.
The class is offered on:
Saturday, August 17th at 8:30am or
Tues. August 20th anytime between 8:30am-8pm.or
Wed. August 21st anytime between 2-8pm or

RSVP 72 hours ahead of time.
I look forward to seeing you soon.  Janice

Another Shaving Cream Card

This card was another easy card to make.  I used the shaving cream technique I talked about yesterday.  See that post for details on how to do it.  It was fun to use the framelit and then show the stamped image under it.  This is again a very easy card to make many of.  Use different colors to make it different.  Use a different shape to make it look another way.  Let me hear what you make.

Here is another shaving cream background.  This one you can see the crisp cantaloupe in the right corner.......  I told you I used a little bit of crisp cantaloupe.  You can also see it softly blended in the upper middle of the card.
I am loving the stamp set Perfect Blend.  It is so easy to use and make your own colored belly band.  Keeping your fingers from getting burnt was never so pretty as what you can do with this set.
People have asked me what stamp set does the saying come from.  Well it is a fun word set called Yippee-Skippee! found on page 37 of the main catalog.  It is right below Perfect Blend.  So now go have two cups of your favorite coffee (or tea) and sit back and look through the catalog.  Then head on over to my SU website and order these two sets so you can make this card.  http:/createwithjanice.stampinup.net
 Happy stamping my friends.........

Shaving Cream Technique

I have had so much fun stamping for the last 24 hours.  I was at a friend's house, Dianne, Friday night and then again Saturday morning and afternoon.  I got so much accomplished.  You will get to see it this week as I blog each day (hopefully).

The first card I want to share with you is using the shaving cream technique.  It smelled like a man was around......  How this technique works is you put a small pile of shaving cream on a paper plate.  Then add a few drops of reinker to it.  You can cut through it if you want but don't mix it too much.  You don't really want brown.......  Then gently lay a piece of glossy paper on top of the shaving cream.  Put the paper back on the table and use a paper towel and gently rub the shaving cream around the piece of card stock.  Continue to do this until all the shaving cream is off the card stock.  You should have a beautiful marble look to your paper.  Now it is really important to use colors that work well together.  We discovered that too much baked brown sugar looked like dog poop.....  Well here is the card!
Isn't this just beautiful?  I used Coastal Cabana, Baked Brown Sugar and just a little of Crisp Cantaloupe.  You can't see much of the Cantaloupe but it is really there.  Then I stamped the sandpipers with Black Stazon.  Very simple card but I love this card.  I will be doing this card in my upcoming 4 Card Class this month.
Class is on Saturday, August 17th at 8:30am or Tuesday, August 20th any time between 8:30am and 8pm or Wednesday, August 21st between 2-8pm or Saturday, August 24th at 8:30am.  RSVP within 72 hours of the class that you are coming to.  The cost is only $10.  Janice

Wetlands

This card I CASE completely.  It was so beautiful and so simple.  I think it took me a whole 7 minutes to complete the card.  I was inspired by Lisa Young.  She made this beautiful card.  I hope you will make it too.
It only was one piece of whisper white cardstock!  I stamped the stamps using Baked Brown Sugar.  Then used my daubers to LIGHTLY add Baked Brown sugar for the sand and Coastal Cabana for the water.  Now how much easier can you get?  Well I know some of my stampers would say they cannot dauber as lightly as me.  It takes time.  But you have to use less to make this card so soft and beautiful.  Try it and let me know.  Janice

Wetlands Again

I know I told you I had fun playing with the Wetlands Stamp Set.......  Well here is another card I saw from Julie Wadlinger on Splitcoast.  I changed the Designer Series Paper to be "Afternoon Picnic DSP" (page 161 main catalog). I liked that I could stamp on the DSP for the saying.
Again this is an easy card to make.  I am a stamper that likes to have something completed to show for my time.  That is why I am not a quilter.  Quilting takes too long to get a completed project (even thought I love the quilt projects when they are done).

I used Old Olive, Crushed Curry and Soft Suede markers with Black Stazon.  I stamped the goose in black stazon then went over the grass blades with my Old Olive marker (fine point).  I used the aqua painter for his Soft Suede body but you could just use your Soft Suede marker too.

If you have not bought Wetlands yet you are missing out on a great stamp set.  It was one of my MUST haves after looking at the catalog for the first time.  It is on the top right hand side of the page (69).
126695 Wood $21.95
126697 Clear $16.95
Hurry up and order it!  You will not regret it.  It is going to be a great stamp set for Fall cards........  Jump on to my stampin' up website to order.  http://createwithjanice.stampinup.net

Calm Christmas

This stamp set "Calm Christmas" was one of the first stamp sets that stood out for me in the new Holiday catalog.  I love the saying.  It is such an easy stamp to use.  Remember when you have a big stamp like this one, make sure you sand it lightly with your sanding block or emery board.  It helps to make the ink stay on your stamp better.

It is difficult to see the beauty of this card with my camera.  But trust me it is stunning........  The main card is Night of Navy.  The first layer is whisper white, then at the bottom is our new Silver Foil (oh it is so beautiful).  I put it through the Big Shot using the Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (page 24 & 26 in Holiday catalog).  I used white embossing powder on the bird.  I added the silver 1/8" ribbon (Page 28 in Holiday catalog) up in the corner.  I think I could have added the "Peace on Earth" saying and punched it out to the bottom right hand corner.  I will probably do that later.  Janice

Wetlands

Ok I have been playing with the stamp set Wetlands.  It is such a great set to make manly cards.  I am having so much fun.  Here is one of my favorites.

I used Basic Black and Very Vanilla cardstock.  The bird paper in the back ground is from Modern Medley Designer Series Paper.  The stripe along the bottom is another piece from the same Modern Medley Designer Series.  Then I used a Very Vintage Designer Button.  Then punched a little black flower from itty bitty shapes punch pack.  Added a pearl to the center.  It was easy to make and is stunning!  Please leave me a comment.  I love to hear from people,  Janice

Specials going on at Stampin' Up

To see all the specials and to place an order click on createwithjanice.stampinup.net.  This will take you directly to my website for Stampin' Up.

Today is the last day to order 3 packages of designer series paper and get the 4th package free.  Hurry and do it today.

Have you heard about the Paper Pumpkin?  It is a special gift that comes to your front door once a month.  the first month you get a clear block to use with the stamp set you get in the first kit and for future kits.  I made my first kit cards while I was waiting in the waiting room for my husband to have a minor surgery done.  It took me a half hour to stamp them.  It was so much fun.  Everything you need is in the kit (except your favorite adhesive).  I made 4 cards and just changed them up a little.

Did I tell you that you get step by step instructions?  And buttons, rhinestones, etc. that you need to make the cards!!!!!  Some of the circles and scalloped edges are like stickers (but much nicer).  And you can use the stamp set over and over on other cards.

Then the one I had the most fun with was the kit using hexagons!  I used 3 extra pieces of whisper white cardstock and not only got to make the 4 cards the kit suggested but added 6 more cards!

The Paper Pumpkin is a great idea for the person who does not have time to stamp.  They can whip these cards up in no time.  It is usually less than a half an hour!!!  What a great gift that keeps on giving all year round.  Right now Stampin' Up is offering the first 2 months for $10 each.  When ordering put in the promo code PUMPKINDEAL to get the first 2 months for $10 each.  Then the future months are $19.95.  You can cancel at any time.  Just put your order in by the 10th and you will have your first kit around the 15th of each month.  Do this on my SU website.  Use the link I provided you at the top of this post.

If anyone is interested I would be happy to spend time together making each month's kit together.  Janice

Tachnique Geeks

This Technique Geeks class is going to be a huge hit.  You are going to be sorry you did not sign up for this class.  Trust me.  For the $15 you will make 4 cards and get these wonderful instruction cards on a ring with a sample on the top of it for future use.  Each month you will get more techniques to add to your collection.  Now you don't want to miss a month and not have all the techniques we techniques need do you?  Sign up by Thursday, August 1st.

Here are the first 3 technique instructions.  See how they have step by step instructions on the bottom half.  then on the top half they have a sample.  You will be able to remember how to do these and make many special cards for years to come.  Note the key ring on top that you will receive to keep them together.  It will give you a great way to hang it with your stamping items.  Along with flipping to see what technique you are looking for.  Next month there will be 3 more.  Join this club and watch for specials for those that are in the Technique Geeks Club!!!!  Janice

Technique Geeks

Back for the third technique?  I knew you would want to see it too.

This one is called "Rays of Light".  Instead of doing sun rays in the sky, I choose to do the sun rays going through the water.  You know I just cannot keep my hands off of the stamp set "By the Tide".  Those fish are swimming around and even making air bubbles.

I cannot wait to share this fun class with you.  Take time to RSVP and come stamp with me on Saturday, August 3rd at 8:30am for only $15.  I look forward to seeing you.  Janice

Technique Geeks

As I promised yesterday, I would show you the second technique we will be doing at my class on Saturday, August 3rd at 8:30am for $15.  Remember to sign up so I am sure to have room for you.

Ok if you are like me you love ribbon......  I am always wanting ribbon on cards.  Well this technique is "Embossing Ribbon".  I did not believe it until I really tried it.  It is so much fun and adds texture to your cards.

I also love this stamp set Perfect Blend (page 37 main catalog).  If you love coffee you gotta have this.  If you know somebody that could not function without their coffee this makes a great card for them.

Are you tempted yet to come to the class?  Well tomorrow will be the third technique.  So see ya tomorrow.

Do you look for techniques to do on your cards?  Do you try to figure out how someone did that?  Do you print out ideas to try?  And then never get around to trying it?  Well I have a new class I am doing.  It is for all of us that are "Technique Geeks".  My first one will be held next Saturday, August 3rd starting at 8:30am.  We will be done by noon, so you can plan to do other things or go home and stamp some more.

This is one card you will be making.  The technique is "Smackin' Acetate".  You will love doing this technique and use it over and over with different colors and in different ways.  As you can see you will get a quarter piece of cardstock that will have the directions on it and a sample of it on top.  It also has a hole punched in the upper left corner so you will put it on a ring to have forever and ever to refer back to.  I do have another card using this technique but you will have to come to the class to see it......

Check back tomorrow for the second technique we will be doing.  Check in on Tuesday to see the third technique!  Yes 3 techniques in one class.  For only $15.  You will go home with 4 cards made and 3 technique instruction cards.  RSVP by Thursday to reserve a spot.  Janice

Bows Bows and more Bows

I have been playing with a new SU product from the new Holiday Catalog.  If you have not seen it let me know.  I will be happy to send a copy to you.  When I first saw the Gift Bow Bigz L Die (page 37 129977) I did not think I would "need" it........  Oh how wrong I was.  Whoever said first impressions may not be accurate is definitely correct on this one.  I decided not to order it and instead got the "Pretty Presents Designer Bows" instead (page 36 132186).   It is a kit to make 10 bows.  My thought was check out how these bows really are made and see if it is anything I might be interested in.  Well I am definitely interested in this.  They are so easy to assemble.  And with your own designer series paper, it is an endless amount of bows you can make.  You can make a beautiful bow for any occasion.  So my next order will have the Gift Bow Bigz L Die.

Here are the two sizes of bows.  So easy to put together.

Here is another way to do the bow.  This is the larger one.  Notice the rhinestones I added to the center of the bow.  They are going at an angle to follow the striped pattern in the paper.  And who does not like a little sparkle with their bow!!!!!

The bow to the right is the smaller bow that I added a second layer to it to make a double bow.  Now if I had the Gift Bow Bigz L Die I could have made the second layer a different color.........  With endless possibilities again.

To the left are 4 bows I made.  All of them have rhinestones on them.  The green one on the top right has just one rhinestone in the center.  The one on the bottom left has 4 rhinestones.  One in each corner.  The bottom right one I cut out a piece of white cardstock for the middle and added a row of rhinestones down the center.  All of the paper in this package is double sides.  So you can choose which side you want to use.  Very cool........

I hope you enjoyed these bows I made.  My packages this Christmas are going to be extra special.  I can out do my mother in law this year.  She always has such pretty bows.  Well look out.  I am going to have beautiful bows for every present I give.  No matter what the occasion.  Janice

Flower Shop

The card for today has many new items in this year's catalog.
I heat embossed each flower by using my versa mark ink pad and SU embossing powders (page 167).
  • Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango and Tempting Turquoise
  • These embossing powders last forever and are only $4.75 each
I added Candy Dots to the center of each flower (page 171) in Brights Collection (only $5.95 a package).

The yellow gingham is made by using our Gingham Wheel (page 82 - 130110 at $6.50).  If you don't like using wheels you can peel it off the wheel and put it on your clear block and use it as a stamp.  Gingham is the in thing this season.  Don't miss out.

Above the yellow gingham you will see I used the embossing folder Needlepoint Border (page 190 - 129383 at $7.95).  It adds and pulls things together.  Again very easy to use.

Below the yellow gingham is our Adorning Accents Edgelit (page 188 - 125595 at $9.95, you get two different ones in this package).  It is so easy to use with our magnetic platform.

I hope you have signed up to receive my blog every day on your email.  It is an easy way to know when I have posted something new for you to look at and keep up with the trend.  Tell your friends too.  We can do a party and make a few of your favorites.  Or you let me know what stamp set, accessories or tools you want to learn about.  I will be happy to do a party with you at your house or you and your friends can come to my house.  Contact me to set that up.  Janice

Flower Shop

Surprise I am not posting a picture of a lobster or fish........  I have moved back to flowers.  Pansies specifically.  The funny thing is I cannot grow a pansy.  I have tried but I just cannot water them the correct amount.  So now I just go places to see other people's pansies.  They are such a beautiful flower.  The card I am showing you today will be done in my 4 Card Class in August.  I hope you will join us in making this and 3 other cards.

I love that I could use a small piece of our Designer Series Pack to add the chevron on the bottom of the center piece.  It makes it easy and best of all look great.  This card can be made in 10 minutes.  I added a large pearl to the middle of the pansy.  And 4 small pearls to add balance.

The Flower Shop stamp set can be found on page 94 of the main catalog.
wood - $23.95 130939
clear - $17.95 130942
pansy punch - page 183 $15.95 130698 (you just gotta have this)

By the Tide

Ok so I had to play with the fish.  So many of the cards I have seen made with the fish in this set the poor fish is just going straight ahead.  Fish move around.  They jump so let's get real here.  My first card I started out making the fish in different intensities.  I stamped in Early Espresso then stamped him again.  This is known as stamping off.  I stamped off again on my scrap paper and made a third one.   Then I used my daubers to color in a little different color on each one.  Ok so these fish are still going straight across.....  This card made me realize I too was doing the same thing.  So look at the second card!  They are all moving in different ways.  They are all still going in the same direction.  But at least they are swimming their own way.

Swim fish swim.  Keep away from those hooks (unless it is mine).  Have a great day.  Janice

By the Tide

Have you bought By the Tide Stamp Set yet?  What are you waiting for?  Today I am showing you one that is a little more feminine.  The only reason I think of it as feminine is because I used Fancy Fan embossing folder and a few rhinestones for bubbles.  But otherwise you could turn this into a masculine card very easily.
Card stock - Night of Navy, Whisper White and Soft Sky
Inks - Night of Navy, Crushed Curry and Soft Sky
Embossing folder - Fancy Fan page 191 main catalog $7.95 127751

The embossing folders add so much to any card.  I love using them.  They are so easy to use and everyone loves the texture.  I also added the little bit of linen thread to the bottom right corner.  This time I did not mask the seahorse.  I felt the color was dark enough that I could stamp right over the Crushed Curry.

I love the ocean.  So this set is so soothing for me yet exciting.  I enjoyed going to the beach when we lived in California.  It brings back so many great memories.  Take time to share this with your friends and share your memories.  Janice

By the Tide

Yes it is more By the Tide.  This card I made by using a sketch from a group of SU demonstrators I belong to.  I just love the Coastal Cabana color.  I just cannot get enough of that color.  For those of you following my blog you know I love Crisp Cantaloupe.  Well I did not think Crisp Cantaloupe would be bright enough for this card.  And then I realized I had the 3/4" Chevron Ribbon in Calypso Coral.  Ahha  I had the idea that this would work well.  So I laid one layer of the ribbon down and then made 2 loops of it and attached it to the back of the circle and laid that on top.  It is hard to see in the picture but in person it made this card.  I stamped Coastal Cabana ink on the Coastal Cabana card stock.  I masked the sea horse.  The main card is made with Baked Brown Sugar.

This is a simple but beautiful card.  You can make this yourself.  I hope you will try it.  Remember that you can sign up to have every post I do sent to your email.  Just sign up on the right side of my blog with your email address.  Many of my friends love seeing what I have been doing.  You can too.  It has inspired them to stamp more.  Have a great stamping day.  Janice
