Coffee Cup

For your friends that enjoy a cup of coffee or don't function without coffee, this card today is for them.
This card is simple and quick to make.  I used Bermuda Bay, Basic Gray, Whisper White and Melon Mambo.  The stitching around the edge you could do many different ways.  I used Basic Gray marker and made my own lines (using a ruler of course).  You could poke holes in it with your poker and grid.  If you are a sewer, you could stitch it with your sewing machine.  Just Saying............ Love that saying from Crazy about You Stamp Set on page 31 in the occasions catalog.  I love all those sayings.  You can make some great combinations with that set.  The flowers with that set coordinate and can be punched out with flower medallion and 1 3/4" scallop circle punches.  It is easy.

I have lots of friends that love their coffee.  So this is a perfect card for a perfectly kind friend.  Janice

Sale A Bration Last Call

SAB 2015 is coming to an end.  You only have until Monday to place your order to get a free item/s with each $50 order.  You can place your own order online and it will come directly to you.  Just pop on over to my SU website and start shopping.  http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/createwithjanice

Here are 4 more cards I made with that favorite SAB thanks stamp set.
The one on the left was a fluke.  I started out coloring all those colors and then decided I wanted a ribbon.  So I cut pieces of the Hello Honey 5/8" Quilted Cotton Ribbon.  I pulled a few strings to get a ruffled edge and put them at different lengths on purpose.  I bet you missed this ribbon.  You can find it on page 39 of the Occasions Catalog.  That catalog is good until June 2nd.  Then I just got my bow builder punch (page 13).  I did not think I needed this.  OH how wrong I was.  I love this and so do many of my customers.  Order yours today.
These two cards were quick and easy again.  I'm telling you this stamp set is way to easy to make great cards.  Get yours.  The letters look like they are popping out at you.  That 3D look is so great.  These two cards you see I added the "for being you" and "for all you do" stamps.  It makes it perfect for what ever kind of thank you that you are sending.  The stars are sequin stars.  I used the ones closest to Strawberry Slush to match the card base.

Did this help you get inspired?  There are so many ways to use this stamp set.  I would love to see your sample you make.  Janice

Birthday Bash

Today's card is using DSP that I have loved since the new catalog came out.  BIRTHDAY BASH  If you have not bought it what are you waiting for?  It has so much sparkle and fun to it that it has been one of the DSPs I go to often.  Well here is another Birthday Card using it.  I saw this one on someone blog.  Sorry I cannot remember who it was.  I might have seen it on Pinterest.  I changed it a little.
I used Night of Navy as the main card.  I stamped and colored the cute critter and his sign.  I cut the critter and his sign out.  It was easy because I left the white under the sign and put white under him so it looks like I cut him out completely.  So tricky.  I used a scrap of the DSP and cut out 3 balloons.  I used SU dimensionals so that the balloons become 3D.  I used some of the Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim (sequins only) to add more sparkle.  Even though this has sparkle on it you can use it for a male card.

Hope you enjoyed this card.  Go over to my SU website and purchase your own Birthday Bash DSP.  What are you waiting for?  Go before it is gone.  SU sells a lot of DSP.  So don't miss out.  This paper is only in for a few more months.  Time flies when you are stamping.  Janice

Sale A Bration

A few new items put into the Sale A Bration selection!!!!  Check them out on my SU website:
http://www.stampinup.net
One of them that I played with is the Thanks Stamp Set.  Wow was that fun and easy to use.  If you like to send out thank yous this stamp set is perfect.  I also like it because you can add the words "for being you".  There are many times I want to tell someone that I really appreciate them for just doing what they do.  Well this stamp set is perfect for that.  Many of my other job will be receiving these.  They love what I say inside but also they love getting the homemade card.

These two are so bright and full of life.  I loved coloring them in.  It was so easy.  The colors I chose were tempting turquoise, real red, daffodil delight and wild wasabi.  The markers were easy to color the letters in.  I stamped in black stazon.  I also used smokey slate marker for the back block letter part.  It adds more dimension.  I also added randomly some rhinestones to add a little sparkle.

I added washi tape to follow the diagonal way I stamped the red thanks on.  I added red candy dots to the corner for eye movement across the card.
These two cards were fun.  I used more pastel colors.  This shows you how you can use this set with many different color combinations. The card on the left is using Crisp Cantaloupe (my favorite which will be going into retirement in a few months0  I stamped the word thanks all over the front of the card using Baked Brown Sugar (another one that will be retired soon).  I also used the Calypso Coral Pompom Trim.  It adds fun to the card.
The card on the right is using Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana and Hello Honey.  I put washi tape to add a little separation and the added pearls on the bottom sporadically.

So what color combination would you use?  I would love to hear what color combos you enjoy putting together.  It helps everyone to get inspiration.  Go ahead and tell us.  Janice

Birthday Cards

Birthday cards from a few of my good friends.  It always puts a smile on my face when I get a homemade card in the mail or handed to me.  For my birthday I received a number of homemade cards.  I only picked 3 to show you.
Kyla made this one using the Irresistible Cardstock from SAB.  Plus she popped the flowers.  They are beautiful!

Jan P made this one.  Jan has the same birthday as me!!!!

Beth made this one in a class with me.  I love getting a design back to me.
I am so lucky to have so many great friends. Celebrating my birthday with so many different people really makes my life complete.  Thank you to all of my friends.  Janice

Washi Tape

So this card is so stinkin cute.  And super easy.  I used the washi tape that is shown for babies.  No this is not a baby card.  Just like the one I did for you the other day with the DSP that was shown for babies.  Think outside of the box.  The button is also from the baby items.  I love these buttons.  They made this card complete.  The colors are crisp cantaloupe, lost lagoon, sahara sand, basic gray and whisper white.  I gave my customers the choice of using the word hello or thank you.  Now you could have put happy birthday, thinking of you, miss you, etc.  Again versatility is the name of the game.  I want you to use the cards for what you want them for.

Want to join my Stampin' Up family?  Contact me and we can talk about what would work for you.  Never pressure from me.  Just fun and laughter (and versatility).  Janice

Simple

This card was made with Sahara Sand and Early Espresso.  I love the DSP (designer series paper).  It is from the Sweet Dreams DSP.  Now if you looked at the DSP it was put out for a baby.  But this is not a baby card and it is awesome.  Don't you agree?  So my point is don't get hung up on DSP for only one kind of card or scrapbook page.  Think outside the box.  Janice

White Chalk Marker

Earlier this week I showed a card we used the blender pen with white craft ink.  Well today I want to share a card we used the white chalk marker.  This chalk marker really makes this bird stand out.  I love the simplicity of this card.  It too (like so many of my cards) can be used for so many different occasions.  That is a good reason to attend my classes (and follow me).  You get the best bang for your buck.
I don't like seeing any ribbon on the inside cover of my cards.  I just feel that is so unprofessional.  I want my cards to look great and be appreciated.  So if I want to add ribbon across the front of my card I always add an extra layer.  This time I just added another piece of the crumb cake.  It made it much nicer than seeing the twine on the inside of the card.

This stamp is from one of my favorite stamp sets MOON LAKE.  You can find it in the occasions catalog.  I did a product class with this set.  Again it is because this stamp set is so versatile.  You just gotta have it.  Stop on over and order it.  stampinup.com  Janice Borchart Independent Demonstrator

Love Love Love this card

So I really love love love this card.  What do you think?
This card was done in my March card class.  It is so gorgeous.  I love the crisp cantaloupe and pistachio pudding ink and card stock.  We used a template to mask the white card stock.  Used a dauber to add the soft crisp cantaloupe and pistachio pudding.  Then used black stazon ink and put the flower and saying on it.  I decided to try the main card to be pistachio pudding instead of the crisp cantaloupe.  Which do you like better?
It seems to be washed away in my eyes.  We added a rhinestone to the middle of the flower.  This is a wonderful card.  Did I tell you how much I love this card????????  Janice

Indescribable Gift

Today's card is from the beautiful stamp set called Indescribable Gift.  It is found on page 35 in the occasions catalog.  I have seen many people using this stamp set.  It is just beautiful.  The markers I used were blushing bride, pear pizzazz, chocolate chip and a blender pen with white craft ink.
You color the blushing bride how much you want it to be seen.  Then you go over it with the blender pen using white craft ink.  It is stunning.  Some of my hostess club members made it into a sympathy card.  Here I made it into an Easter card.  This stamp set could be used for a wedding card, birthday, etc.  It is very versatile.  I love using versatile stamps.  That way my customers (and me) get lots of use out of a stamp set.  If you would like to place an order to buy this stamp set go to stampinup.com  When asked for who is your demonstrator please put Janice Borchart.  Thank you.  Remember there are only a couple of weeks left for Sale A Bration.  Order $50 of product and you get to choose one of the free items from SAB.  Janice

Age Awareness Day

It is my birthday today.  So this card fits for me today.  Age Awareness - Oh how my body reminds me of my age.  Yet my love to live and have a good time makes me realize how much I've grown up.  I love to be home.  I love to be with my husband.  I love my son.  I love my 2 cats.  I love my 2 dogs.  I love the 2 rabbits that have made their home in our backyard.  I love my true friends.  I love to stamp.  I love children.  I love to play tennis.  I love to help people grow.  I love to watch children (and try to figure out what they are thinking).  I love life.  Even when times are not going the way I think they should, I have learned to smile and appreciate what I have.  I thank God every day for my life.  I thank God that I have his support.  Today I thank God for letting me live a year longer than my mother.  And I thank each of you for being in my life.  Janice

Embossing in a Color

My hostess club this month is having fun stamping in smoky slate and then stamping the same image in versa mark slightly off from the smoky slate image.  Then adding melon mambo embossing powder.  So many times we use white, black, silver or gold embossing powder that I thought I would change it up.  The result was a wow effect for my hostess club.  We also used the flower embossing folder in the occasions catalog.  The second picture was from when I was designing this card I tried using chocolate chip ink instead of the smoky slate.  It was a tough decision from my hostess club members on which color combo looked best.  Would love to hear what you think?

This card can be used for so many different occasions.  You decide what you want to use it for.  Let me know.  Janice

Flower on vellum

Here is another card we made at Technique Geeks class.  This time we used the flower embossing folder.  Love that folder.  It makes very good impressions.  I like both side of the paper when it comes out.  I have a difficult time deciding which side should be up.  You should buy this embossing folder.  Just saying.
Then we stamped the flower in black stazon ink onto a piece of vellum.  Punched it out (easy punch to line up).  Then used markers on the back side to color it.  Popped it with a dimensional and you have a beautiful card for many different occasions.  You are amazing.  You are special.  You Have a great birthday.  You are in my thoughts, etc.

I love the soft color of wisteria wonder.  It is one of my go to colors at this time of the year.  Easter and spring fit well with wisteria wonder.  Janice

Licorice Again

As promised, I am sharing another one of the technique geek cards.  It really was fun.  I love the sun so this card is one of my favorites.
I made another one of these cards but changed the hello to be done in Tangerine Tango.  I like the Daffodil Delight the best.  But gotta try different colors to see what you like best.  Janice

Easy letters

This next card is one that I like.  It uses the framelit letters.  They are a great size.  Not too big not too small.  They go through the big shot easily and come out of their framelit easily.  This is a must have for scrapbookers.
We used the embossed cardstock from the SAB catalog.  You can sponge it, use markers, use blendabilities, brayer it or anyway you want to get color on it.  Then use a tissue to wipe off the ink from the dots (embossed spots).  We also used the Itty Bitty Accents Epoxy Stickers (page 28 of occasions catalog).  Many of my customers had not noticed them in the catalog.  This time we used the circles.  But there are stars and hearts too.  Two different sizes.  They match with the itty bitty punches that we have.  So you could punch out a color and add the sticker on top.
Here is the inside of the card.  This stamp set is found on page 26 of the occasions catalog, called Butterfly Basics.  This is another stamp set that is so versatile.  Lots of great stamps in it.  11 stamps!!!!!  Janice

Technique Geeks

I just realized I did not posted much last week.  I know I was tired after Janice's Creating Crop at the Marriott.  So sorry.  Well I will post this week.

The card today is one from my Technique Geeks class this past Saturday.  It was a lot of fun.  The wow factor was in the air.  We used the framelit Hello.  We cut it out of colors of cardstock.  Then we laid it in the versa mark pad and then sprinkled clear embossing powder on it.  Heat set that, then versa mark, embossing powder and heat set again.  Some times we did it 3 times.  It makes it look like shoe string licorice.  It really pops on the card.

This one looks like black licorice.  I will share more examples of what we did later this week.  Janice

Card Class

This coming Saturday, March 14th I will have my famous 4 cards for $10 class.  It has been a favorite for years.  Many of my customers don't want to miss this monthly class.  Here are 3 of the 4 cards.  The 4th one is a surprise.  You will need to attend class in order to see that one.

I am so ready for flowers and spring.  Love that we sprung ahead in our time change.  It is so much nicer to be lighter later in the day.  I hope you like these cards.  Janice

Missing you

I made this card for a good friend that moved out of our neighborhood.  She at least stayed in the same city.  It really is not that far away.  But it feels like it.  So I sent this to her new house only put the wrong street name.  I have a customer on the next block from her.  So I accidentally put my customer's street name down.  But my friend did get the card.

This is using the SAB set that I showed you yesterday with the light bulbs.  I stamped on the inside of this card Missing You Already.

This again is a simple and easy way to make a card for those times that someone you know moves away.  Or someone that buys their first home.    Janice

You Brighten My Day

This stamp set is adorable.  I cased this from someone.  I cannot find who I saw it first from.  I loved how the play on words worked.  This card was super easy to make.  I used it at my crop this past weekend.  It gave them a chance to use lots of different colors of the blendabilities.  Remember that March is the last month of Sale A Bration.  So get your $50 order into me so you can take advantage of the free items in the SAB catalog.

Here is what I did for the inside of the card.  Now that I did on my own.  I did not see the inside of anybody's card.  I again stamped the light bulbs and then stamped them again on white and colored them in and cut them out.  Popping them really made a difference.  The main card is Sahara Sand.

Enjoy a day or two of stamping this week.  Janice

Something Lacy

This is a stamp set that leads to using white embossing powder on vellum and coloring the back side with markers.  Well that is exactly what I did last weekend.
I used Wasteria Wonder on this one.  Along with that beautiful embellishment.

This one I used Real Red on the back side of the vellum and added Night of Navy card stock.

I made these very simplistic to show you how beautiful the flowers turn out.  Now I would like to use a brighter color of embossing powder.  What color do you think I should try?  Janice
