Birthday banner card

This card I made for a swap I am doing with my up line. I used designer paper, banner and string from Sale a bration. I was not sure it was going to be anything I would like. But when I was done I really like it. What are your thoughts?  This will be a card my hostess club will be making in February. Janice

Different layout

I was trying to think of a different layout than I usually see or do. I thought this was different. I did the "Stain Glass" technique again with the flower. I punched it out and layered it with pink pirouette so that the stain glass would look different. The colors I used was melon mambo and elegant eggplant. Janice

Technique Geeks

This card was so fun to make. I embossed on vellum card stock then used markers on the back side. I stamped the flower petals twice so I could cut and pop the petals. This technique is known as "Stained Glass".

The white side is cut with the new scissors Stampin' Up has. It was originally made for making grass. But I thought it would make a great fringe look. What do you think?  Janice

Easter Blessings Stamp Set

Tulips are one of my favorite flowers. I love all the different colors they bloom in. Here I used Elegant Eggplant. They look so rich and elegant. I stamped the tulips on Elegant Eggplant and cut them out. Then popped them on the first time I stamped them in the white. I colored the tulips before I popped the tulips. If the color underneath shows a little it makes it even more professional. The green I chose for the leaves is garden green (perfect). The gold card stock is a great addition Stampin' Up has. It is so great to work with. Using an embossing folder on it is breath taking. The gold dots are on the vellum. It is new in the occasion catalog. It comes by12x12 sheets with 3 different designs on each sheet. It is a must have. Putting different colors of card stock under it makes it look different.

Many people did not want to buy this stamp at first because it has Easter Blessings attached to the tulips. I my words off so I can use the tulips for any reason. I still can use the Easter Blessings words but I can decide when. So I'm getting more use out of this stamp. I hope you will order your stamp today at createwithjanice.stampinup.net. Janice

Starburst

The starburst sayings stamp set is a set I did not think I needed. Haha. Now I'm enjoying it in so many ways. It is very versatile. The oh happy day is good for so many different days to celebrate. The one I used here is so nice to tell someone how much they mean to you. Of course I love these colors. Crisp cantaloupe and pistachio pudding and baked brown sugar yum. The ribbon is so beautiful and is so easy to work with. You must have it.

Have you signed up for my 4 cards for $10 class?  It is offered on Saturday, Jan. 18th at 8:30am and again on Wednesday, Jan. 23rd anytime between 2-8pm or again on Saturday, Jan. 25th at 8:30am. I offer this class 3 times to help each of you fit it into your schedule. Contact me to reserve your spot before it fills up. Janice

Stunning black and silver

As promised, here is another card made with the stamp set People Like You. This time I used the silver ink. I used my white gel pen and then finished highlighting with the white chalk marker. I put silver glitter paper behind it. It is extremely striking. And of course the silver ribbon still is a favorite. Have a great week. Janice

People like you

This stamp set struck me when I first saw it in the occasions catalog. Here I stamped it using gold ink. It looks much richer in person. I love the details in the flower. I stamped in gold a second time on whisper white and punched out the saying. Then popped it. I have another card using this stamp I will post in a few days. Enjoy. Janice

Window Sheet

Here is that favorite snowman again. This time I wanted 2 snowmen.  I used the same stamp twice. But they are facing each other!  How did I do that you ask?  Well I stamped on a window sheet (or known as a transparency). Then I turned the window sheet over and stamped it again. Yes it is that easy!  Remember to use Stazon ink on a window sheet. Any other inks will smear. I did color in the scarves with SU markers. Did not coordinate well. You are better off using colored sharpies.

Let it snow only if it warms up so it is good packing snow!!!!! Janice

Sweet and simple

I still love this flower stamp set. With the punch to make it so easy to get so many punched out so quickly. The strawberry slush ribbon is so beautiful. I stamped the leaves first then put the white card stock through the big shot using an embossing folder. What do you think of this card?  Janice

Dazzling Diamonds

Who does not love diamonds?  Using dazzling diamonds makes a card special. Here is a card I made for December's Technique Geeks Class. It wowed everyone. It is easy to make. Use your versa mark pad and add heat and stick powder to create a really sticky bond for the dazzling diamond glitter. Then your glitter stays and you don't have it every where for weeks!
I love this one using the snowflake frame lit. Of course I also love that snowman. He is a smaller version of a snowman Stampin' Up had a few years ago. This is one of the 25 year anniversary stamp sets SU has out. It will be available for only a few more months. So be sure to purchase it before it is gone. Hop on over to my Stampin' Up website to place an order or email me and I will order for you. createwithjanice.stampinup.net
This next card is another dazzling diamonds one. I used Summer Silhouette stamp set.  This is my go to flower set. It is so versatile. You can use it for any season just by changing the colors. Ok so I used more pastel colors in this one because I have to keep reassuring myself that spring is right around the corner. So it's below zero now. It soon will be so warm people (not me) will be complaining it is too hot!  But don't you just love this. Leave me a note to let me know your thoughts on either of these cards. It also helps me to know I'm not just talking to myself.

Be warm inside & out.
There's nothing more precious in this world than the feeling of being wanted. Diana Dors

Valentines Day around the corner

Hard to believe that the holiday season has come and gone. I hope everyone had a great season. I know we all are a bit chilly but that to will pass. On to Valentines Day.   This is a day of love. Don't forget to do something small and special to remind those close to your heart that you do hold them in your heart. Here is a card we will be making this month at my 4 card class.
I just love these hedgehogs. The red glitter paper is always special in my book.

Here is another version I made as a sample.
