I am not a big winter fan. But I do love to watch other people play in the snow. Back in college I did a little cross country skiing. It was fun. But the alcohol I am sure kept me warm.
When I saw Winter Wishes stamp set in the Holiday catalog I knew I would have to have it. It has been fun to play with. I am doing one card using this stamp set in my Doubles Card Class this Saturday. If you have not told me you are coming please call me right away. This class can get busy. So make sure I can make room for you. I would love for you to come.
This card also uses the wood snowflake accents. I just love those wood accents. They add that little extra touch to a card. I used Chocolate Chip and Crumb Cake for the cardstock. I then used Chocolate Chip and Wild Wasabi Ink.

Bird in a Tree Card
One of my customers gave me these birch paper straws and asked me to do something with them. Well Jan, this is the card I made.
Those black birds are everywhere. But this black bird is sending a friendly Hello to all of my stampers. This is another fast and easy card to make. It too will be one you can make at my Doubles Card Class this Saturday at 9am. Have you told me you are coming?

Tuesday Tipster
After last week's cardstock storage I have had people asking me how do you store your 12x12 Designer Paper? So I will share how I am storing that.
"31" bags are a must in my stamping room. I use many different sizes and styles and colors, etc. I help keep my "31" consultant in business. Right Kristi? This is one of the cubes I use. It is slightly larger that 12x12.
I had these folders from way back from Creative Memories. Now I have found them at Hobby Lobby (but they do not seem to carry enough of them). They are plastic folders that have a smaller pocket for my scraps of DSP. Again I want to use my scraps and save money. I use my label maker so I know what the name of the paper is. Then on the left side I have listed the colors that go with that DSP on an adhesive sheet. Those are full sheets like the address labels. I can type it easily on my computer and print it off. Cut it with my cutter and peel it off. It is again a nice way to know which colors go with that paper and I can pull the folder out and put it on my desk while I am working on something. This is also a great way for me to take my DSP to a crop. I can just grab the cube (notice it has handles to carry). Or if I know which DSP I will be using I take just those couple of folders.
I hope you enjoyed this Tuesday Tipster.

Spider Web
I just love this card. I love that I took the spider web doillies and cut a section of it off. Then used it on the inside of the card. You cannot see it well in the picture but the black witches hat is cut out with a framelit using the black glitter paper. I added the silver ribbon. Oh it makes it so sparkly. Then the inside is also cut out in the black glitter paper. Just love it.

October Doubles Card Class
I am offering this fun card class this month on Saturday, Oct. 31st at 9am. It is a great way for you to start your Halloween Day out. Come and stamp 10 cards in less than 2 hours. The cost is only $15 or free with an order of $20 placed that day.
Here is one of the cards we will be making two of. It is very easy. It is very stunning. It is difficult to see but there is a thin silver thread that is hanging below and above the leaf. The leaf is so beautiful in color. You will love being able to use this card for many different occasions this fall.
Make sure to let me know that you are coming so I am sure to have card stock cut and ready for you to make 10 cards.

Tuesday Tipster
I have been asked about how I organize my stamping stuff. Well today I am going to share my favorite way that I store my cardstock. I have tried a few different ways but this has been my ultimate favorite. The best part is that I always use my scraps first. I never miss using a scrap of cardstock. Other ways I tried I would just grab the full sheet of cardstock and not use the scraps. So this has been a good money saving way for me.
This is a wire shelf unit that I could adjust the shelves to how far apart I wanted them. The far left side are the mailbox shelves that you can get at your favorite office store. Two sets of them did not fit on the width of the shelf so I added the inbox files. Each color has their own plastic picture frame. It took me many times of going to Michaels to get them at a good price. But slowly I did get one for each color (including in colors). I bought 8 1/2" by 11" ones. I bought bigger ones for my basic black and whisper white. Those two colors tend to have lots of scraps. You can see that I have a label maker that I have each color on the left side. Then a white circle on the right side that tells me which color family they are in.
Here is the frame itself with Island Indigo scraps in it. You can see that I have little scraps and big scraps. I keep the full sheets on the bottom of each shelf and put the plastic frame on top of it. You really would have to force yourself not to use a scrap first before grabbing a full sheet of cardstock. It is also nice because I can pull the frame out and put it on my desk while I am deciding what size I need for the project I am working on.
I hope you found this useful. I know for me it has been very cost saving and I love that I don't waste. Happy Stamping.

Favorite Card
This was a favorite card at the craft fair this past weekend. We made it at the 4 cards for $10 class earlier this month. I am offering this class again on Wednesday, Oct. 28th at 9am and 2pm. I will share more cards that we will be doing at that class later this week.
